Downstairs at Ford Hill there is a large open plan kitchen/living room, which features a lovely wood-burner; there is also a separate dining area and a handy utility room with pantry. The ground floor is a great area for entertaining with comfy chairs in spacious rooms. The kitchen is also very well-equipped with everything you will need for making simple family meals to memorable five course dinners.

A steep set of stairs leads to the first floor of the cottage where there are three very good-sized bedrooms, including two doubles, one with an en-suite shower room, and a pretty twin. There is also a spacious family bathroom and a sun room with direct access to the rear terrace.

Beyond the rear terrace, Ford Hill has a large, beautiful garden with a fantastic old beech tree providing plenty of shade for sunny afternoons. The garrage has also recently been refurbished into a spacious, well-equipped games room; featuring a pool table, table football and a surround sound TV, which can be enjoyed from the comfort of the sofa and bean bags.

Ford Hill Cottage is situated just a few miles from the seaside village of Combe Martin, which has its own pretty beach, good range of shops and a selection of pubs and restaurants. On the outskirts of the village, which lies on the edge of Exmoor are two of North Devon's most loved family attractions, Watermouth Castle and Combe Martin's Wildlife and Dinosaur Park.

A little further afield are the towns of Ilfracombe with its stunning harbour, and Barnstaple, where you will discover a historic Pannier Market, theatre and multi-screen cinema.

North Devon is famous for its dramatic coastline and golden beaches. When staying at Ford Hill you will only be a short drive from the well-known beaches at Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton, where you will find soft golden sand and clean blue waters. These beaches are excellent for water-sport activities, as well as families in search of a safe swimming environment.

There are numerous footpaths in the local area with the South West Coast Path and the Exmoor National Park easily accessed nearby; for cyclists there is the Tarka Trail and the beautiful country lanes. Golf, horse riding and fishing are also available in North Devon.

For day to day essentials Kentisbury has its own service station with village store. There is also a good collection of pubs and restaurants within a 10 minute drive of the cottage, including Michael Caines' The Coach House at Kentisbury Grange.
